Yes, upon completion of this program, you will receive a Yoga Alliance-certified 200-hour RYT certification.

The cost of this training is $3,600, with the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship. You'll need to purchase the required books independently, and if you prefer a physical copy of the manual, you can request one from Renú Hot Yoga for an additional fee of $50.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is necessary to reserve your spot in the program. We limit each cohort to 10 trainees to ensure an exceptional experience for all participants. In addition to the non-refundable deposit, we are flexible and willing to collaborate with you to create a payment plan that aligns with your specific requirements.

The training spans six months, with sessions occurring every other weekend from January 2024 to June 2024. Please find the general daily schedule at the top of this page; a more detailed one will be provided to paid trainees.

To join our training program, we require a minimum of one year of personal yoga practice and an application that includes a brief 300-500 word essay.

Our training primarily focuses on Vinyasa Yoga, but you'll also gain the skills to teach Yin Yoga and our version of Bikram Yoga, known as Hot 26 in our community.

Our training is led by Karissa Brandhagen, the owner and lead instructor at Renú Hot Yoga. Karissa is a Yoga Alliance-certified instructor with a 500-hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification, including a 200-hour E-RYT (experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher), YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provide), along with a RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) certification and over 1,000 teaching hours. Assisting Karissa are various instructors from our staff, including Azalea Koestler, a certified 200-hour ERYT and YACEP with over 1,500 teaching hours and 5 years of experience.

As part of the training, you'll receive a digital copy of Renú’s School of Yoga student manual at no additional cost; 600 pages chock-full of valuable information.

If you prefer a physical copy, you can order one for $50, which covers the printing and binding expenses at cost.

We also recommend purchasing and reading "The Yoga Sutras" and "The Bhagavad Gita" before the training begins. Details on recommended versions and further reading recommendations are provided in the student manual.

Your certification will be based on several evaluations, including your final practicum, pranayama and meditation assessment, final sequencing assignment, written exam, and your overall performance throughout the course. Detailed expectations and scoring rubrics can be found in the student manual.

Absolutely! Our training includes 75 hours of hands-on teaching experience, as well as multiple opportunities to host free community classes at Renú throughout the course of your training.

Graduates can continue their education with biannual continuing education credits. Our future plan is to introduce a 300-hour and prenatal training program by January 2025. Additionally, our instructor and owner, Karissa Brandhagen, is always available for extra support as needed.
